Guilt Free Shopping

If you're feeling guilty about constantly spending money on bits & bobs for your house I've got the perfect solution that allows you to shop, but without the attack of conscience afterwards! I've just discovered that Oxfam Ireland have a home range in their fairtrade shop.

Fair Trade is defined as a trading partnership that seeks greater equity in International trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers. Now if that's not guilt-free shopping I don't know what is!

They have some really nice items, here are a few I've seen on their website. At the moment they just have fairtrade shops in Cork, Galway, Dublin and Belfast, but I know that there are a small few items in the Oxfam shop on William St. Limerick and you can always buy online. These items would look really good if you have maybe done some travelling and have a nice collection of accessories with global influences.

Acrylic Throw - €45.

Set of 3 Handpainted Batiks - €30.

Set of Wall Hooks - €25.99

Chopstick Set - €15.
